Obituary for David Frye

David Frye, 76, of Franklin, passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2007, at his home.

He was born in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Shirley and Clark Clifford Frye. He was married to Madelyn L. Frye. David was a four year Korean Veteran after which for thirty-five years he taught high school and coached football, basketball, and little league in Dearborn, MI. He retired in Franklin and for three years coached J.V. football at Franklin High. He was a member of First United Methodist of Franklin.

In addition to his wife, Madelyn L. Frye, he was survived by a son, David Craig Frye and wife, Karen Frye; grandson, Clark Andrew Frye, and granddaughter, Emma Kathryn Frye, all of Ortonville, MI. Also, a daughter, Jaynne Ellen Nutbrown and son-in-law Clayton Nutbrown of Sylva, NC.

Memorial Services to be held Saturday February 24 in the Chapel of the First Presbyterian of Franklin at 11 a.m. Dr. Bob Abel will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 1648, Franklin, NC 28744, or one's chosen charity. 

Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
